Exhibition Information
The 16th annual World Congress to be held in Stockholm 21-25 September 2009 will be running in conjunction with the Exhibition that will open its doors on the 22nd of September.
The event is a unique occasion for companies from all around the world to be able to demonstrate their expertise and high standards of achievement within the field of ITS. It is also a chance to establish new contacts when international delegates, exhibitors and visitors meet in Stockholm for a few intensive days.
The ITS World Congress and Exhibition 2009 creates an international meeting point for companies and public authorities involved in ITS. This allows the participants to widen their views and generate better knowledge about how mutual research and development of intelligent transport systems and mobile services can make our daily life easier and better.
The 16th ITS World Congress and Exhibition 2009 in Stockholm will be for the first time a multi-modal event including ITS solutions for the road, railway, aviation and sea transport. The preparation activities have been based on a number of Focus Areas, which have laid foundation for the planned technology demonstrations, showcases and technical visits.
Particular emphasis will be made on the following areas:
- Traffic safety
- Mobility for vulnerable road users
- Implementation of well-coordinated ITS projects and services in the Stockholm region
- Multimodality/Co-modality leading to cleaner climate
Every ITS-related topic is welcome to be displayed at the Exhibition:

Admission to the exhibition is FREE to pre registered bona fide trade visitors only. On site registrations can be made at a cost of 200 SEK (approximately 20 Euros).
ITS goes public
The exhibition will be open on Friday the 25th September for the interested general public to attend free of charge. Visitors are very welcome to visit the exhibition and attend the demonstrations. This will provide a splendid opportunity to experience ITS solutions for the future and get acquainted with ITS in daily life.
Strictly no admittance to under 16’s.
