Guidelines for paper submission
Detailed submission guidelines are available on the website and all contributions
must be submitted online at www.itsworldcongress.com.
E-mail contributions will not be accepted.
Please note that English is the official Congress language. Papers not submitted in English will automatically be rejected.
The deadline for submission of draft technical and extended draft scientific papers is Monday 12 January 2009.
Submitting a Contribution
You will be requested to provide the following information:
- Draft paper title
- Topic and subtopic
- Choice of a free keyword if needed
- Paper abstract (10 lines)
- Author's full contact details
- Draft paper (A maximum of 3 pages abstract for technical paper and a maximum of 3 pages extended abstract for scientific paper)
Note: The extended abstract for scientific paper should convince the reviewer that the full paper would meet the scientific level of exigency.
Authors may submit up to 3 papers (either technical or scientific or both). Upon completion of your contribution, you will receive an acknowledgment e-mail confirming your paper number, contact details and chosen topic. This does not mean that your paper has been accepted. Draft papers will be reviewed and all applicants will be notified of their paper status by mid-April 2009.
15th May 2009 is the deadline for technical conditionally accepted papers resubmission (final paper format, 8 pages), as well as for first full scientific paper submission (final paper format, 10-12 pages) to allow a second review of these later. This first full version is needed in order to be able to decide if the paper can be accepted either as scientific or technical.
Authors whose draft papers have been selected must submit their final paper online by 3 August 2009 for accepted papers, to allow for their publication in the Congress Proceedings.

IET Intelligent Transport Systems Journal
To enhance the quality of this event, the ITS World Congress Organising Committee has entered into an agreement with the journal: IET Intelligent Transport Systems; a peer reviewed academic publication from the Institution of Engineering and Technology (The IET). This world renowned title continues its collaboration with the ITS World Congress and will produce a Special Issue of suitably expanded papers from the Stockholm 2009 event.
The IET will be representing the journal at booth Z90 in the exhibition hall and would be delighted to provide more information to authors interested in this opportunity. Sample copies of IET Intelligent Transport Systems will also be available. Authors of papers that are considered suitable for the Stockholm Congress Special Issue will receive a formal invitation no later than 4 weeks after the conference finishes. Authors can expect to be offered 2-3 months in which to expand their papers so that they are suitable for consideration in an international journal. Full details on how to submit your paper/s will also be provided at the time of invitation.
