Post Congress Tour 1

Oslo (Norway)

Post Congress Tour 1 illustration This tour is organised by ITS Norway and the National Public Road Administration.

The participants will have the possibility of experiencing the Norwegian developments in the field of Intelligent Transport Systems and Solutions.

During the morning, attendees will be able to visit the Oslo Road Traffic Management Centre for the most complex city tunnel system in the world, experience the AutoPASS system and the fully automated Oslo Toll Ring and see a presentation on «How an ITS Architecture supports intermodality».

The trip will then continue by coach with a guide to the Ekeberg Restaurant overlooking the city centre and harbour.

During the afternoon, you will visit the Information Centre for construction of the sub-sea motorway tunnel Björvika.

Date and time: 26 September 2009, 09.30 - ca. 15.30

Cost per person: 66,25 € (53 € + VAT)

Assembly: Pick up at Thon Hotel Opera (close to Central Railway Station)

Dispersal: Hotel Thon Opera and Vigeland Sculpture Park

Post Congress Tour 2

Helsinki (Finland)

Post Congress Tour 2 illustration This tour is organised by Helsinki City Transport (HKL) and Metropolitan Area Council (YTV).

The participants will have the possibility to experience the Finnish achievements in the field of Intelligent Transport Systems and Solutions.

Following your arrival in Helsinki around 10.30 on Saturday 26 September, you will be transferred to the Helsinki City Hall where you will see some presentations on current systems and ongoing ITS development projects in public transport in the Helsinki metropolitan area. You will then enjoy a Demo tour around the city centre in an ITS pilot tram. From 14.30, you will have the opportunity of a guided walking tour of Helsinki's city centre.

Return to ferry harbour (Olympiaterminalen) by 16.00 by foot or own transport arrangements to board the ferry. Departure at 17.00.

Dates and time: 25 September 2009, latest 16.00 - 27 September 2009, 09.30

Boarding time from Stockholm and Helsinki: 16.15

Cost per person: 437,50 € return trip (350 € + VAT), 250 € one-way trip (200 € + VAT)

Post Congress Tour 3

Malmö and Copenhagen (Öresund Region Sweden and Denmark)

This Post Congress Tour is organised by the Swedish Road Administration in cooperation with the Danish Road Directorate, Skånetrafiken, City of Malmö's Office of Public Works, Rejseplan, Öresund Bridge and METRO.

The aim of this tour is to give the participants the possibility to experience the Swedish and Danish achievements in the field of Intelligent Transport Systems and Solutions in the Öresund Region (Malmö and Copenhagen).

The tour will start from Copenhagen Airport on Saturday 26 September. Assembly at 08.45 in the underground railway station of Copenhagen Airport for departure by train at 09.00 to Malmö. Onboard the train, you will receive general information about regional transport planning in the Öresund Region. From Malmö railway station, transfer by coach to the conference venue for a presentation on current systems and ongoing development projects in public transport ITS in the Öresund Region by the Local Transport Authority (Skånetrafiken), Regional Development Council (Malmö GK) and the Swedish Road Administration (Vägverket).

After the lunch, the participants will leave Malmö by coach for Öresund Bridge and Copenhagen Airport (Denmark). From Copenhagen Airport, you will travel by driverless underground to Copenhagen city and participate in a study visit to METRO, the transportation company running the driverless underground system of Copenhagen.

The tour will end at 16.00 and you will return by coach to Copenhagen Airport.
