Advanced maritime navigation - cruise to Mariehamn
Overnight cruise from Stockholm to Mariehamn (Finland) aboard m/s Cinderella, organised by the Swedish and Finnish Maritime Administrations in co-operation with Viking Line.
The purpose of this trip is to get an introduction into advanced maritime navigation in practice in one of the world's most demanding archipelagos. Study up to date technologies and learn from expert views on future nautical challenges and prospects.
The programme includes a visit of the ship's bridge, guided by most qualified nautical and technical experts. An onboard seminar will be arranged, where leading experts will discuss future navigation support technologies, challenges and prospects.
A classic Swedish dinner, smörgårdsbord, as well as breakfast will be served in the ship's restaurant. Accompanying persons are more than welcome to join the cruise.
For the delegates participating in the technical visit, there will be a ferry change in Mariehamn early Monday morning to be able to reach the Congress Opening Ceremony. The ferry will arrive at the port of Kapellskär and the participants will then travel by bus to Stockholm Bus Terminal (Central Railway Station).
The delegates participating in the sightseeing cruise will return to Stockholm on the same ferry and they will arrive at the Stockholm Port (Viking Terminal) on Monday afternoon.
